Short on time but want the best of both worlds? This 7-day express route takes you straight into the stunning tea country of Nuwara Eliya and Ella, before dropping down to the beautiful southern coastline for some beach time.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Kandy Bound
Start in Colombo and head straight up to Kandy. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth.
Day 2: Tea Estates
Drive to Nuwara Eliya. Stop at Ramboda Falls and visit a working tea factory.
Day 3: The Scenic Route to Ella
Enjoy one of the most beautiful drives in the world as you navigate the winding roads to Ella.
Day 4: Exploring Ella
A day off from heavy driving. Hike Little Adam's Peak and visit the Nine Arch Bridge.
Day 5: Down to the Coast
Drive down the Ella Gap towards the southern coast. Watch the temperature rise as you approach the ocean.
Day 6: Beach Day & Galle
Relax on Mirissa beach. In the afternoon, drive to Galle to explore the historic Dutch Fort.
Day 7: The Final Stretch
Cruise along the coastal road back to Colombo to complete your adventure.
