Experience the incredible diversity of Sri Lanka. From the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya to the cool tea plantations of Ella, and finally the sun-drenched beaches of the south. This 12-day Tuk Tuk adventure covers the absolute must-see highlights of the island at a comfortable pace.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Coastal Drive
Pick up your Tuk Tuk in Negombo. Take a short practice drive, and then head inland towards the Cultural Triangle.
Day 2-3: The Cultural Triangle
Climb the ancient Lion Rock fortress at Sigiriya at dawn. Explore the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa and the Dambulla Cave Temples.
Day 4: Into the Mountains
Head south to Kandy, the cultural capital. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
Day 5-6: Tea Country & Nuwara Eliya
Drive winding mountain roads up to Nuwara Eliya (Little England). Visit a tea factory and enjoy the cool climate.
Day 7-8: Ella Vibes
One of the best drives in Sri Lanka! Arrive in Ella. Hike Little Adam's Peak, visit the Nine Arch Bridge, and enjoy the backpacker cafes.
Day 9: Wildlife Safari
Descend from the mountains to the dry zone. Book a jeep safari in Yala National Park to spot leopards and elephants.
Day 10-11: South Coast Beaches
Drive along the southern coast. Pick your favorite beach town (Tangalle, Mirissa, or Unawatuna) to relax, surf, and enjoy fresh seafood.
Day 12: Return to Base
Drive back along the coastal road to return your Tuk Tuk.
